    Friends

When two perfect strangers get together to become friends, good friends, close friends, best friends, it's really God's plan.

How did two people in who doesn't know each other at all, get to know each other, among the many people in the world?

Really, treasure the friends that you meet and have.
    It's never too late,
    - to learn to appreciate them,
    - to learn to show care and concern to them,
    - to learn to be thankful in every moment you've been through,
    - to learn to lean on one other and support one another in times of need.

Thank you, all my friends, and people who I've met, be it whatever we've been through.

    BGR

Woke up not feeling so well.
It's been long since my stomach's like that.
It's like spinning and turning and turning.
Therefore, I didn't go for Service today. Instead, watched the online live telecast.

Watching online, and being at Church is really 2 different feelings.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, my target here is not to talk about today.
I'm just here to talk about some thoughts I'm having about BGR.
    It's not targeted to anyone.
    It's just my thoughts.

This past one week or so, I 'suddenly' know of a few people (more than usual) who just broke off with their BF/GF.
One of my OBS friend, who I've just started chatting with not long ago, happened to tell me of him breaking up with his 5-years together GF.
Another 2 friends, who I happened to blog-hopped and saw his and her blog, broke up with each other not long ago too.

    I was like, my gosh!
    One was together for 5years!
And the other was together for almost a year!

I had such thoughts in my mind.
Well, they are still young, and they indeed really are.

Is it that important to start a relationship when they are so young?
Is it a need, or a want?
Probably a want, I would say.

How did 2 very different persons get together?
Some people would say by fate, by destiny?
Or is it just by 'chance'?
P.S. Notice the difference please. For those who understand, congrats. For those who doesn't, then too bad.

    People need God.
Only God can fill that emptiness in their heart.

For once, I had this thought too, of entering into a relationship.
There's because of the emptiness that I had at that time.

Now, I shall wait for the correct timing, that God has for me with that right person.
I want my first, to be the last. (:

    Happy National Day!

    Happy National Day!

    A Happy Birthday to Singapore!

I've always loved watching National Day Parade.
But, for this year's, I really followed the whole parade with my heart, at home.

Too bad, didn't manage to go out to watch near there.
Am lazy to go there and squeeze with the many people there too.

But, this was when, that I realised that there's so much meaning to all the different performances.

And I really, really, really enjoyed this year's National Day Parade.

The Singapore Air Force's elite Black Knights participated in this year's NDP for the first time and also commemorated the Republic of Singapore Air Force's 40th anniversary. The six F16 Fighting Falcons greeted spectators at Marina Bay with their deafening entrance and they certainly left a mark in the sky for all to see in their tight formation. Flying at some 2,000 kilometres an hour, over the central business district, leaves no room for any mistakes.

    I love their stunts.

    I loved the fireworks too.

The NDP is indeed going from glory to glory.

Shine for Singapore - Hady Mirza

    Have you seen a star,
One that guides you no matter where you are?
However vast the sky may be
    Or dark it seems
    You can be sure,
Its always there for you and me.

    Have you heard a song,
One that moved you, one that made you sing along?
Your dreams and hopes will all come true
If you believe that every vision begins with you.

    *Shine for Singapore
    This is your song
Deep inside your heart where it belongs
It'll always stay, strive for your goals.
You will achieve with visions so bold.

    #Shine for Singapore
    This is our song
Reach out for the sky, far and beyond
As one we'll stand, we're Singapore
    It's here that we belong

Nowhere I'd rather be, this is home to me
This star shines strong and free
    Have you seen a star,

After everything, went to buy something and then happened to meet up with Octopus for lunch after her check-up at the polyclinic.
    Then went to her house.
We actually fell asleep, and therefore took a rather long nap.

Ate at Eastpoint, shopped a little.
Went to buy drinks at the NTUC at the basement, met an auntie who was queueing and she's supposedly the last person before the counter's closed.
She actually had to keep telling the people behind her that the counter's gonna be closed after her, so they'd had to queue at another lane.
P.S. You must be there to experience that funny-ness.

While walking back to her house, we went past the cat that she'd meet everytime she walked pass there. As we were walking to Eastpoint, we went past this black cat also.
This time round, when she saw this cat, she actually jumped and "ran", despite the her leg injury and shouted, "Aiyo, 你看啦, 每次这样的leh."
P.S. You must be there too and also must watch the expression and hear her tone of voice! SUPER, DUPER, ULTRA funny! Hahaa.

Came back home and had my second dinner again.
Mum actually cooked 'Mui Fan', which was awesome!
    Even dad praised her! Haha.

I really ate a lot today...... Haha.

Our 16岁的约定 - To Octopus and Sotong.

We shall meet outside the school gate, at 08.08pm, on the 8th August, 5 years later, when we will be 21 years old then.
I will look forward to how we will all become when the time comes.
    This, is our pact.

    Thursday, August 07, 2008
Had a rather fast day in school.

Went to visit and pass Octopus her homework after school with Someone.
Her toe was bandaged and was so..... Haha.

    Her BOYFRIEND has become mine!
    My xiao qing.
    We've got the same qing.
    Haha.

At first, he was so shy.
Then, Someone and Octopus were saying that he was so, so shy as he met the 'dream girl' of his life --> ME. Haha.

He hid behind the chair, and went round and round with Octopus while playing with me..

Somehow, I started to play a game, called ROTI PRATA when I learnt it during one of the CGM.
They could really catch it so quickly.
This somehow became how Xiao Qing started opening up to me. Haha.

He's really cute, really so adorable.
    MY GOODNESS!
Now I really know why Octopus like him so much. Haha.

Then went for dinner for Octopus's Mum cooked for us. While teaching Xiao Qing and his bro who came back from Kindergarten, some chinese words and such, Octopus and Someone actually scooped rice for me and it was a REAL TALL SMALL MOUNTAIN.
I spent like don't-know-how-long, trying to eat them all up ('cos I've had a heavy lunch).

Xiao Qing actually taught his bro how to play the ROTI PRATA game after dinner, while they were playing inside Octopus's room and I was still 'eating'.

We gathered and watched the movie - L changed the world (if I'm not wrong about the name).
Quite a nice show. Got to watch it from top to bottom though.
Had so much fun trying to make up the story and twisting the story and acting the twisted story.

Halfway through the show, Xiao Qing actually said "ROTI PRATA" and so, I thought he wanted to play. His bro also played with us.
    SUPER FUNNY.

    Haha.

Well, went home at around 8.30pm, and reached home at 9pm.

    ATE DURIANS again at 9.30pm.
But, too bad, there were only 5 durians today.
'Cos the $1 durians were not that good today, Dad said.

    080808 tomorrow.

    Quizzes

    http://www.quizbox.com/personality/test82.aspx
*Taken from Denise's blog. - Get to know yourself better.

    Your view on yourself:
You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:
You like serious, smart and determined people. You don't judge a book by its cover, so good-looking people aren't necessarily your style. This makes you an attractive person in many people's eyes.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:
You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.

    The seriousness of your love:
You are very serious about relationships and aren't interested in wasting time with people you don't really like. If you meet the right person, you will fall deeply and beautifully in love.

    Your views on education:
Education is less important than the real world out there, away from the classroom. Deep inside you want to start working, earning money and living on your own.

    The right job for you:
You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life.

    How do you view success:
You are afraid of failure and scared to have a go at the career you would like to have in case you don't succeed. Don't give up when you haven't yet even started! Be courageous.

What are you most afraid of:
You are concerned about your image and the way others see you. This means that you try very hard to be accepted by other people. It's time for you to believe in who you are, not what you wear.

    Who is your true self:
You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice. People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues. Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped with a problem, which your heart rather than your head needs to solve.

    http://www.quizbox.com/personality/test101.aspx
    -What is your favourite fruit?

    Here is the analysis:
Never one to waste a spare minute, you are a dynamic and active person. You are optimistic and never worry about problems because you're sure a solution will arise when you need it to.

    http://www.quizbox.com/personality/test98.aspx
    - How do you react to compliments?

    Here is the analysis:
When you hear someone compliment you, you return the same compliment. This suggests that you are carefree and independent. You never ask for favors, preferring to help yourself instead. You like to take the lead.

    http://www.quizbox.com/personality/test97.aspx
    - How well do you get along with others?

    Here is the analysis:
You truly believe in friendship. You get along well with others, and those who are around you are happy to be with you, too. You love to be surrounded by friends and you'll do anything you can to help them without expecting anything in return. When your friends are smiling, you're as happy as you can be.

    http://www.quizbox.com/personality/test96.aspx
    - How do you behave when in love?

    Here is the analysis:
You could win the Nobel Peace Prize for being such a good lover! You are a truly understanding person, and put all of your trust into your relationship while also maintaining your independence. You would be many a man's perfect woman.

    http://www.quizbox.com/personality/test87.aspx
    - What type of woman does he like?

    Here is the analysis:
He's the typical guy that you normally would see in today's society, nothing too spectacular. In fact, you really have to concentrate in picking him out among the crowd. He's also easy going, has a sophisticated taste. He isn't boring or anything like that. Just that he would tend to be a little humble, has his own independent views, but keeps it to himself. If the situation requires, he can step forward and really make an impression on others. The woman of his dream must not be the helpless lady type or too conservative, but must be a fighter with high perseverance. Women who are the fragile type or too ladylike are definitely not to his taste. She must be committed to overcome any obstacle in building up a family with him. Those from a rich family is definitely out. He prefers women whose fortune are self-made. This type of guy isn't selfish at all, but a real social contributor one can say. Don't worry, his requirements aren't really that high, you may pass the test you know.

    http://www.quizbox.com/personality/test79.aspx
    - What type of personality do you have?

    Here is the analysis:
    Bright and Cheerful
You are always cheerful and charming. You never get too serious with people when they're around, but when you are alone, you think carefully about what they have said. That's because you don't want anyone to see you being too somber. Your personality means you have a lot of friends and you are often the center of attention. Many people who fall into this category become artists and movie stars, perhaps fame could be yours in the future as well.

*Becoming an artist or movie stars??! Haha.

    http://www.quizbox.com/personality/test72.aspx
    - Cinderella

How you control your husband, who will lead the family and who will be led?
You will never expect to control your boyfriend or husband. Your boyfriend and you will take turns to make decision and the decision is often acceptable to both of you. Whatever you want to let him know, you can just tell him straightforwardly. This is a good relationship, a pretty modern one.

    Cross-country.

    I liked it. Haha.
Though I didn't ran much, instead I walked almost through the whole route, I think it's a rather fruitful time, where I get to hear stories from people, and know more about them.
You know who you are right? Haha.

The school actually gave us a visor as a National Day gift.
Rather cool, to be given out here.

    Well, to cut everything short.....

    PICS here!

Joke of the day: I was lying back onto Chu Qing's "legs/shoulders", in the end, I felt that it was so flat, and so broad. I lied there for about 5 secs? I turned and the "other party" turned. I was actually lying on his BACK!
It was like so MALU, you know?!
The whole situation became so ...... "humorous".

I was actually lying on his back.

    Monday - my day.

Today had been a rather quick and good day.

Early in the morning, the students who had done well for last year's 'O' levels came back to receive their well-deserved award.
*This was done to inspire the graduating pupils as well as the sec 3 pupils.

They even came to our classes and talked to us about their 'O' levels, how they managed their time, how they planned, how they studied, ETC.

We also had a special guest, Dr. William Tan - who came to talk to us.
You can read more about him at http://willpower.com.sg/
An amazing life story he had.

Went gymming with Huan after English Banding.
A lot of people weren't feeling well today.
    Probably due the hot weather.

After gymming, went to the foodcourt at CS to eat fruits and at the same time, we happened to think of lame poses and so, we took lame pics.
So many people were looking at us and you can just tell the look that they all had on their face.

    HAHAHA.
    Funny people.

    FOP - 02.08.08

    FOP was GREAT... EXCELLENT!

I just love Rev. Mark Conner.
He's humorous, yet, so cool that he can preach a word that can convict people in their hearts.
I also love the Parachute Band, and the Hillsong team.
    They are wonderful.

Pastor Mark preached on "Growing old or growing up?"

Being old doesn't mean being mature.
Being mature doesn't mean being old.
*There's a BIG difference between childish and childlike.

    Keep the childlike ATTITUDE.
-As you grow up, grow old.

Maturity comes with the acceptance of responsibility, and not with age.
What you have control over, you are responsible for it.
What you have no control over, you are not responsible for it.

    Control:
    - Mind
    - Will
    - Emotions
    - Physical body

    In short,
GROWING UP : Taking responsibility in what you have control over.

While queuing up, we were camwhoring and videoing.
    Rather fun.
There were lots of funny moments also. Haha.
